‘Up’ Review

Well – we saw “Up” last night! Everyone came over to my house for hot dogs on the grill beforehand. Then we all headed to the theater. With our $10.50 tickets!!! **hack hack cough cough** Because its 3D it cost 2 dollars more. YIKES. Pricey movie. But it was well worth it.

I happily give “Up” 5 GIANT STARS.

I don’t even know where to start reviewing this wonderful movie. Pixar is the master storyteller. I didn’t think I’d connect with the characters from what I saw in the trailers. But, oh my gosh! I was 100% invested in the story in the first 5 minutes of the movie. I don’t want to give anything away. Don’t read too much about it. All I can say is, see it. See it soon. Take your whole family. The little boy behind us (probably 4 years old) was giggling through the whole movie. It was adorable. I’ve been thinking about it all day. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL MOVIE! (take some tissues)

  3. Can't wait to see this one, too! My kids ask me every day. Hopefully after school is over…

I'm glad to hear your review. I have no doubt we'll love it.

  4. I saw the trailer on Youtube the other day and had been wanting to watch it ever since. But I checked the local cinema and saw that it won't be released until later in August over here in Malaysia, which sucks… 🙁

Glad to see that you gave it 5 stars though.. 🙂

  5. Yeah I'm so glad you liked it. That means that I'll like it too 🙂 I really, really, really want to see it but I'm not sure if I can get Jared to see it. He likes pixar but man $10.50 to see a movie! Glad to see that your mom went 🙂

  6. Oh…good to know! I wasn't sure about taking my almost 4 year old to it, but maybe it would be fun. I didn't know if there were scary parts or not. I don't like her to see things that I haven't "reviewed" first! lol! =) Hmmm…off to find out where it's playing! Thanks for the review!

  9. I totally agree about the previews. It did not do it justice. We have a very fun drive in down here in the valley and we went and saw it the other night. I cried several times, my daughters all loved it and so did my husband. It was one of the best movies I have seen. Pixar outdid themselves again!

We saw this on Tuesday as well. It was WONDERFUL. I haven't seen a movie in oh… 18 months and I LOVED it – so worth the $10.50 each to see in 3D too! We took both Rebecca and Rachel (4 1/2 and almost 2) and Rachel actually sat through half of it before moving and LOTS! But we went to a 4:30 showing so there were lots of other kids there too!

  11. I TOTALLY LOVED this movie!! And so did my 3 kiddos!! It was just wonderful…Pixar just never ceases to amaze me!! I totally agree with your 5 stars!!
